Who is a Hero in Your Life?

Grades: 6th Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade
Subjects: Writing, English Language Arts, Character Building

Student Instructions

There are certain traits and skills that most heroes have. These are traits and skills that each of us can strengthen within ourselves so that we can be heroes in our local and global community. 1.Choose one of the following traits or skills that relate to you or someone else. It can be someone you know personally or a historical figure. a. Educated - Well informed, understands the world, has learned a lot b. Compassionate - Feels and shows care and concern c. Inspired - Wants to do something positive because of someone else or in honor of someone or something d. Connected - Creates togetherness, encourages others to be involved e. Generous - Gives to others f. Brave - Willing to do something difficult, has courage 2. Using the template provided choose pictures and label words to create an image that represents how you or the person you chose relates to the trait or skill you picked. 3. Use the mic to record a short explanation of your work.
