This activity has five short sentences presented one per slide. Each slide asks the student to press record and read the sentence aloud. Use the recordings for quick fluency checks and to track progress over time. No extra prep is needed beyond a device with a microphone. For each recording, look for clear pronunciation, steady pacing, and natural phrasing. High-quality responses: (Slide 1) says each word clearly and pronounces "hawk" and "sharp" distinctly. (Slide 2) reads the two-syllable words smoothly and connects phrases "tiny fawn" and "on the lawn." (Slide 3) keeps a steady pace across "will crawl across the rug." (Slide 4) reads the full sentence without pausing in the middle and clearly pronounces "draw" and "pen." (Slide 5) uses natural phrasing for "I had to yawn because I was tired." Mark recordings as correct if the student reads the sentence clearly with reasonable pacing and understandable pronunciation; mark incorrect if many words are mispronounced or reading is too choppy to understand.
