Floating and Sinking

Grades: Pre-K, Kindergarten

Student Instructions

1. Click the link link and watch the video. Think about which things float on top of the water and which things sink to the bottom. 2. Ask a grown-up for help to fill a large bowl with water, or use the sink. 3. Gather the following items: -A coin, -A pencil, -A cotton ball, -A crayon, and -A small stick 4. Click the green add button 5. Click the move move tool and complete the PREDICTION PAGE. Think! Which ones do you think will float? AND Which ones to you think will sink? 6. Use the gathered materials and put them in the water. (DO NOT do this near a tablet or device!!!) 7. Click to the next page and using the move move tool 8. Click the mic microphone and tell me as you move the pictures to the float or sink section to show what happened in your experiment. 9. Click check check to turn in your work. Have fun!!!
