Tangram Animal Story

Student Instructions

Before you start listening to the story, you can color and cut out your paper tangram. You should have 7 pieces. Tap on the link to listen to Grandfather Tang's Story and you can pause the story to build the animals. For this Seesaw activity, you will build three different animals, one on each page. You have two choices: You can retell Grandfather Tang's Story or make up your own animal story. Remember to make an animal with your tangram, you must use all of the shapes and you can't change the size by shrinking any of the pieces. However, you can change the color (if you like) 1. Tap on add 2. Tap on the move and rotate the shapes to make create a different animal for each page. 3. If you choose to tell your own animal, tap on page 4 and use the label to complete the graphic organizer to help you tell your animal story. Tell the story in order - including the setting (where and when), problem, solution, and the ending. 4. Tap mic to record your retell of Grandfather Tang's story or you can tell your own animal story. 5. Tap on check
