Student Instructions
Use the tally chart to make a pictograph using emojis.
1. Tap

3. Click on the emoji symbol to find the emoji you want to use for your pictograph using the data.
4. Click 
to record at least 3 things about the graph. Remember to use math words like "more than," "less than," and "total."
5. If you have time, tap 
and read your caption into the microphone.
6. Tap 
to add to your journal.
Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
When typing emojis, instruct students to do a string of them (example: 5) in one text box, then go back and click return after each emoji. This will create a vertical line of emojis. Then the students can resize the line so one emoji fits in each graph box. It is easier than typing one emoji at a time and resizing every one.
