Writing Workshop: Informational Book Writers revise by adding more to their pictures to teach more about their topic.

Writers, yesterday many of you discovered you know a lot about some topics. I am really looking forward to learning from your books. Today, I want to remind you that writers sometimes decide to go back and revise some of their books, rather than starting a brand-new one on a new topic. One way we might revise our books is to think of ways that we can add to our pictures to teach more about our topics. Teaching pictures have labels and other things included to help readers learn from the words as well as from the picture. After writing today, find a place where you revised some of your book by adding a diagram, caption, or How-To sequence page. Then tap the button. Tap your name. Tap the :camera: button. Tap :record:. Show and explain the place in your book where you revised. Tap the green to post your work.
