Let's Play POP! - The Sight Word Card Game

Grades: 2nd Grade, 1st Grade, Kindergarten

Student Instructions

You will practice reading some sight words by playing the game Pop! The first page of this activity gives you 19 cards to choose from. Select any card you want, click the link attached to it, and it will bring you to a page with just one card on it. Move the words "move me" to the side to reveal a hidden word. Read the word. Click on the caption caption button at the bottom of the page to see if you were correct. If you got the word right, click the link next to the blue arrow to go back to the main page where you can select a different card. If you got the word wrong, please say the word 5 times before clicking the link by the blue arrow to select a new card. If you get the word POP! the game is over for that round, but no worries, just start again. You may use this Pop! game anytime you want to practice the words. You do not need to submit anything for this activity.
