Student Instructions

1. πŸ‘‚ Listen to the story by following the link 2. πŸ—£ Talk about the different ways you can describe the color of your skin-get creative! 3. πŸ’‘ Think about all the different skin tones in your house, in your classroom, at your school, in your community, in the world! 4. πŸ– Draw a self-portrait of yourself using more than one color to create the beautiful color of your own skin. You might add some yellow tones, some different shades of brown, peach, red, etc. You'll need to use tools that blend easily. Color lightly with colored pencils, crayons, oil pastel, paint if you have it. Markers would not be advisable for this activity. 5. add Share your picture with me! Upload a photo of your picture and use the mic to tell me all the colors you used and how you would describe the color of your skin. Ex: "My skin is the color of coffee with a splash of milk in it." Our differences are beautiful and should be celebrated.
