Grades: 3rd Grade, 2nd Grade, 1st Grade
Subjects: Home Learning, Science, Character Building

Student Instructions

1. Read the Happy Pet Environment handout. It lists things that a pet needs to be happy and healthy in their home. 2. Next you will create your own Happy Pet Environment for either a dog or a cat. There are two options: 2.a. The first option is to create a drawing of your Happy Pet Environment. Use the Happy Pet Environment drawing template and press drawing. Draw all the items your pet needs in your home. Also draw either your dog or your cat living in that home. Press mic to record yourself describing your drawing. 2.b. The second option is to create a diorama of your Happy Pet Environment. To create a diorama, you will need a shoebox tipped on its side to act as the home. Then, fill the shoebox with drawings, photos, small objects, or clay sculptures that represent all the things your dog or cat needs to be happy and healthy. When finished, press the photo to take a photo of your diorama, then press mic to record yourself describing your diorama.
