Florida manatees are large, aquatic mammals that are native to Florida. Adult manatees are typically 3 meters (10 feet) from snout to tail and weigh around 1,000 pounds. Baby manatees are 1.2 - 1.4 (120-140 centimeters) long when they are born. You are going to work with your group to make a life-sized model of a baby manatee. We make models when we develop a physical representation to explain an object or living thing. Anything that is not real but is a representation of an actual thing can be called a model.
