Grades: 3rd Grade, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade
Subjects: Art

Student Instructions

Hi Artists! Today we will continue and finish working on our clay sculptures. Review of Definitions: Sculpture - the action or art of making statues by carving or chiseling (as in wood or stone), by modeling (as in clay), or by casting (as in melted metal). Three-Dimensional (3-D) Form - A 3D shape can be defined as a solid figure or an object or shape that has three dimensions – length, width and height. Unlike two-dimensional shapes, which are flat, three-dimensional shapes have thickness or depth. Last week after learning about what is a sculpture, you then began forming your own out of clay. Depending on what type of clay you used, make sure it has hardened before continuing on and working on the steps that follow: 1. Watch the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS5yZGxov8I&t=4s 2. Use any art supplies to design and decorate your clay form. (Acrylic paints, markers, brushes, etc.) 3. Post a picture of your completed work here on Seesaw. Have fun and MAY THE ARTS BE WITH YOU!
