Student Instructions

What if you could bring your Lego toys to life without actually assembling the blocks? What if you could, without opening the box know exactly how the 3d model will be? How about your favourite book coming to life with its characters moving and talking? Augmented Reality can bring a lot of regular boring stuff to life. Augment means to add. Augmented Reality is a concept which adds a few things to our real world to make it better and interesting. The extra stuff added to the real world is the information from the internet and a lot of 3d animations. The attached booklet takes you through some background of augmented reality and how to use Reality Composer with some step-by-step mini-projects at the end. Give them a go! All the resources you need are online and links are in the document - to access the links, tap on "view original" to make the PDF live. Some extra things to try: - extend each project to get it to do something different; - video record the project to demonstrate how you got it working; - share your video to the class blog for others to see; - rewrite the instructions to encourage a similar project with different resources. Have fun and enjoy! Mr Kerwin
