Mindful Recess: 5 Senses Scavenger Hunt

Grades: Other
Subjects: Character Building

Student Instructions

Bringing our attention to our five senses (sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell) can help the body and mind calm down and come into the present moment, which means the moment right NOW, especially when you're feeling scared, worried, anxious, or stressed. For mindful recess today, we will go on a 5 Senses Scavenger Hunt with Liz! 1. Click the link to watch the video of Liz's 5 Senses Scavenger Hunt. 2. Then, it's time to go on your own 5 Senses Scavenger Hunt! 3. When you're done with your hunt, click add to complete your mindful journal pages. 4. On the first page, share what you found on your scavenger hunt using you 5 senses. Either upload a video of yourself, use the mic tool, or the label tool. 5. Go to the next page, and share what emotions you had throughout your scavenger hunt, and a time this practice would be helpful to you. Use the mic tool or label tools, or upload a video of you sharing your responses to the questions. 6. When you have completed both pages of your mindful journal pages, click check to submit.
