I have taught the 2nd grade for 7 years and I LOVE many of the number of the day exercises I have found on TPT. These number of the day activities often have odd/even, base ten, greater than less than, and skip counting. However, I have noticed that the learning topics included HERE are things not often found on TPT number of the day/week exercises. These are things that students need practice with ALL year - not just in a small amount of time in a unit. I recommend that you start with counting money WITHOUT regrouping. Telling time to every half hour (1st grade standard), and adding 4 two-digit numbers WITHOUT regrouping. Adjust to be more difficult in order to be responsive to student need. The background is white on purpose to accommodate vision impaired students.
