Student Instructions

All computer data is represented using binary, think images, numbers, letters, etc. Binary uses a system that uses only 1's and 0's (on/off). Binary digits (a bit) can be grouped together in a set of 8 to form a byte. Watch the video video to see how binary code works. Click add Page 1 Using your knowledge of binary code, look at the images and write the binary code for each in the text box. The first line has been completed for you. Hint: 1=on, 0=off Page 2 Create your own pattern and write the binary code for that pattern. Watch the second part of the video if you need help. Page 3 What is your name in binary code? Using the key write your name in binary code. When you have finished click on the check to submit your work.
