Student Instructions

Learning Target: I can understand the importance of being a guardian of Justice in my crew. For those of you who watch Star Wars, you know that the JEDI were guardians of peace and justice throughout space for thousands of years. The most powerful JEDI as you may know is Yoda. He was known as being wise and tough. He stood up for what was important. Others that were powerful as we know were Darth Vader, Lucas Skywalker, Mace Windu, and Obi- Wan Kenobi. Yet, this was fiction. In our real world it is important for us to understand the meaning of the word justice, the "J" in J.E.D.I. (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion), for the sake of being smart to do good. We have to be guardians of this within our crew and our communities that we live in. In order to do this, we take time in this activity to understand the meanings of these words. They are important within our own galaxy of Elgin and it's neighboring communities. You will watch a short video clip that explains justice. You will then record yourself explaining what you think justice means. After this, you will draw a picture of what justice looks like in our crew.
