Lemurs can leap up to 25 feet to get from tree to tree and hop along the ground using their hind legs. 2. Ring-tailed lemurs aren't picky when it comes to food. They eat leaves, flowers, fruit, insects, birds, chameleons and spider webs. They can travel long distances to find food, using their keen sense of smell. *************** Optional Funtivities ******************* Can you hop like a lemur? Use a tape measure or ruler to measure how far you can jump. Test your family members and see who can jump the farthest! How far do you think you can smell?
