Name the people in your group: 1. Can your melodies be put together? Can you put them together at the same time (harmony), or one right after the other? 2. Do you want to select one melody or more? Whose melodies? 3. What nature sounds would you like to include? How will you reproduce (imitate) those sounds? 4. What birds will be included in your composition? How will you make the sounds? 5. Describe what your composition will sound like. Will there be an introduction? Will there be a bordun? An ostinato or two? Some color? 6. How is each group member going to participate? What will be their jobs?

Student Instructions

We have discussed group rules and behavior. You have selected your groups. Now it's time to get down to business and plan your nature composition. 1. First of all, go back and listen to the videos of your melodies. You might have to ask to have them off private for now since some might have asked to go on private. Can your melodies be put together? Do you want to select one or two? 2. What nature sounds did you find when you searched them? What are the YouTube videos you found? 3. What nature sounds would you like to include? How will you reproduce (imitate) those sounds? Instruments? Using your voice? Found sound? 4. Decide on the bird or birds you would like. How are you going to make the sounds? 5. What job will each group member have? What are their musical roles? Now, each one of you go to the student template, click edit note, and answer all the questions for what you discussed. Before you will be allowed to get together to start performing, I will need to approve your list.
