Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

"I Like Myself" by Karen Beaumont is a great story about loving yourself for who you are. This activity is designed help students explore the ideas of personal characteristics, colorful vocabulary and Seesaw basics. Knowing how to explore imbedded links, take a photo, add labels and explore the font design features in Seesaw are important skills for showing learning. Students can visually represent new vocabulary, document an experiment, or describe a math concept. Blending pictures and text helps your students “show what they know” in your classroom, and in Seesaw it’s easy for teachers to see all of the students’ photos in one place. This activity works great at the beginning of the school year as you’re learning about your students. It’s also a great opportunity for peers to get to know one another.
