Teachers, save “Shape Poems” to assign it to your class.

This week in writing we have learned how to write Shape Poems! Look at your teachers example. She wrote a shape poem inside a balloon about her birthday. You will think of an idea, brainstorm details (when it happens, where it happens, 5 senses and feelings). Then you will use the took to write your poem. You can either the shape around the poem or use a shape from the on the left side of the page. Get creative and have fun with what you write!
