Science/Design: Bug Hotel

Bugs are super important for our world and ecosystem. Building a bug house is a great way to encourage insects into your outdoor space. Whether on a walk or in your garden or on your balcony, you are going to create a cosy place for our little insect friends. Please use only natural and recycled materials. 1. To get started you could use lots of things from your recycling: cans, jars, boxes, plastic bottles.. 2. Once you have your base you can start collecting materials to fill it : sticks, flowers, leaves, grass, egg boxes, toilet roll tubes, shells, wood chips, moss... 3. Now the fun part: start to build your bug house! Be inventive! 4. Once you're happy, click add response. 5. Share a photo with us and use writing or a voice recording to explain what you've done. 6. Click tick to save your work. 7. After a few weeks, see who has moved in! Be careful not to scare them! You don't want them moving out again! Make a note of what insects you've found and maybe find out what important role the play in our ecosystem.
