Today you will be listening to a read aloud and thinking about how patterns surround our daily lives. Feel free to read along if you have the text Two of Everything by Lily Toy Hong. 1. Click :start: to start the activity. 2. Answer the question on pages page 1, before listening to the book. Use any tool to respond. 3. Listen๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿฝ to the story ๐Ÿ“– focusing on how the number of coins change as they are thrown in the pot. Read ๐Ÿ“– along if you have the text. 4. Answer the questions on pages pages 3-6 after listening to Two of Everything. Use any tool you would like to respond. 5. Review ๐Ÿ‘€ your work, then click the check green check to submit your work.

This is a read aloud activity using the book Two of Everything by Lily Toy Hong. Students will watch/listen to the book. If they have a copy of the text they can read along. There is 1 before reading question and 4 after reading questions that relate to the pattern of doubling in the book. This is a great lesson for students to think about patterns in context and visualize a growing pattern related to multiplication.
