Student Instructions

Read the number story at the top of the page while you listen to it being read by clicking the caption caption or the speaker button. As you work, you will fill in drawing label the sheet using the information from the story. Start with the unit. What is the story about? Write that in the unit box. Use the information you know to fill in two sections of the rectangular number bond. Put a question mark in the part or total that you still need to find out. Use a strategy to solve the problem that shows me your work in solving this number story. When you have an answer, cross off the question mark from the number bond and write your answer in. Use the numbers from the number bond to write as many of the 8 equations as you can. Finish with a statement by answering the number story's question in a complete sentence.
