Thirds

Grades: 2nd Grade
Subjects: Math

Student Instructions

Today, you get to pick your own shape and show us how to partition it into thirds and write the fraction. Step 1: Find an example in our classroom of something real life that is a square, rectangle or circle. Step 2: Take a photo of TWO of these shapes and save them to your camera roll. Step 3: Open Seesaw and create a post that shows how you can partition the shapes into THIRDS by using the draw tool and label the share using symbols and numbers to represent a third. Make sure you partition the shape equally and fairly! Look back at your notes or videos if you're not sure how. Have Fun!
