Student Instructions

Learning Intention: We are learning to create a program for the Ozobot Success Criteria: - I can plan part of a city for ozobot to move through - I can create appropriate codes for the part of the town - I can evaluate and improve my program 1️⃣ ASK: Think about what part of the town you would like to create. Make a mind map of aspects it will need (eg. types of roads, traffic lights, intersections, buildings, costumes for ozobots. 2️⃣ IMAGINE/PLAN: 🚩Plan what your town map will look like on the planning page. Use symbols to indicate any buildings or characteristics such as traffic lights or stop signs. 🚩Plan what outfits your ozobot will need - upload photos of the drawings you have made OR draw on the slide 🚩Plan how you will create your buildings to bring a third dimension to your city. 3️⃣ PLAN: On your planning page, think about what codes you will need to add. When will Ozobot need to stop, speed up, slow down, left or right turn etc? Add in the codes in the appropriate places. 4️⃣ EVALUATE/IMPROVE: Evaluate and explain your plan. Get feedback from your peers and teachers about your plan - make any necessary changes 5️⃣ CREATE: Using the paper provided to you, begin creating your map. Remember to keep a 2.5cm margin around the page. Make 2-3 exit points on your map to join up with another page. Create your 3D building models and ozobot costumes as well. 6️⃣ TEST: Test your program! If something doesn't work, work out why and make changes. Take a video of your program in action! 7️⃣ EVALUATE: Complete the final evaluation of your program. ⭐Try and join your program with another team's program!
