Student Instructions

Materials: You each need your whiteboard, marker, and eraser. You will also need a die 🎲 and BTBs (Base Ten Blocks) to share. Directions: The player with more letters in his or her name goes first! 1. Roll the die and move that many spaces. 2. Build that number with Base Ten Blocks. 3. Tell and write the value of the underlined digit. 4. Partner checks. You may stay if you are correct. If not, go back to where you started this play from.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

NBT.3 - Knows value of digits in a 2-digit number. Students need: paper or whiteboard for writing value, Base Ten Blocks, and one die. There are 4 game pieces at the top of the board to use. Great to use in GoMath! Chapter 1 or as reinforcement anytime!
