Student Instructions

Slide 1: 1. Read about Binary Code. Answer the question. Slide 2: 1. Use the pen tool to write your first initial in the box. 2. Use the highlighter tool to highlight the binary code that matches your first initial. 3. Show which beads will represent 0 and 1 by coloring the boxes with the pen tool. 4. Write the binary code for your first initial on the lines using the pencil. Slide 3: 1. Take a photo of your finished binary code bracelet. Slide 4 & 5: 1. Solve the mystery word using the binary code clues. 2. Use the pen tool to write each letter on the line that matches each clue. 3. Tap check when finished!

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

Feel free to change the code word by unlocking the number boxes and editing the binary code. :) To create the bracelet you'll need pipe cleaners (1 per student) and pony beads (8 per student in two different colors).
