Click to submit your work. Families: For this workplace game students are working on addition and comparing numbers to find the greater number. Students have to find an efficient strategy to add the dots on the domino, such as known facts, counting on and also working on immediately recognizing the amount of dots on each side of the domino. It is important that students are encouraged to count differently than by 1s as this is a slower way to count and a more efficient strategy would be beneficial for them to learn. There are variations for this game, including working with larger numbers and alternating between determining what number is less than or greater than.
