Give students a regular sheet of paper to fold in the shape of the crane. Walk around the room and take notes of what the students are saying while they are trying to accomplish the task. When students complete the activity, have a group discussion and share the growth/fixed mindset phrases you heard. You will be surprised about what you hear. This activity is great for young students. It really shows them what growth mindset is all about.
