Student Instructions

1. With your partner(s), look closely at each photo on the first slide. Stop to think, question, and discuss the photos together. 🔍Tip! You can resize and move the photos to get a closer look! 2. After a couple of minutes observing, write down (or sketch or record) ALL of your ideas, questions, wonderings, and more! Anything and everything counts. It's okay if you're not totally sure about the ideas you have. 🔁Repeat for slides 2-5 3. Put your heads together to show off what you already know about Washington state and the surrounding areas. You can label or sketch cities, landmarks, rivers, mountains, etc. Again, it's okay if you're not 100% sure. The more you put down on the map, the more I will learn about you as a Washingtonian. 4. Submit check **The person screen-sharing should find this activity in their journal, click the triple dots (...), choose "edit people" and select all the members that were participants in their breakout room.
