Subjects: English Language Arts

Student Instructions

We have played this game in our Google Meet where Ms. Elaine and Ms. Mahezabin have given some clues. Today, you will give the clues by describing the animal you choose. BUT you cannot tell us what the animal is!! Give clues such as: - the colour of the animal. - the number of legs it has. - the size of the animal. - the sound the animal makes. - any special features (horns, long tail, fluffy fur...) Once you have chosen your animal and have thought of some clues (adults can definitely support with this!) tap mic and tell us the clues. Your friends will then leave their guesses in the comment boxes and you need to tell them if they are right or now. Supporting Adults: This can be a challenging activity for many children. You support your child by asking questions such as "What colour is the animal?" "How many legs does it have?" or "What sound does it make?" to help them along. If they respond with single word responses, you can model by making it a full sentence. "The cow is black and white." At the end, help by repeating the clues they have given. This is the support I would give in the classroom. Learning Intentions: To describe what they see. To imitate sounds (animal) To develop their vocabulary
