Student Instructions

We’ve done quite a lot of work over the past few months on shape matching and I know that some of you are getting really good at it so I thought we’d make it a little trickier. Today’s activity is shape drawing activity. Rewatch the attached video ‘Sing-along Shapes’. Now it's time to try using your knowledge of shapes to trace and then draw each shape. add Remember to tap the add button to begin. Have a look at the shape on the slide. It’s name is at the top but can you tell me what shape it is without reading it? Next use either the pen pen or pencil pencil tool to trace over the dashed shape outline. Now, this bit’s a little trickier... Next use either the pen pen or pencil pencil tool to draw the shape all by yourself, next to the one you just traced. Finally, tap the mic button to record. We’d love to hear you naming some of the shapes, telling us about some of the properties of the shapes, such as how many sides or corners it has or even just saying hello. check Don’t forget to press the green tick mark when you have finished so we can see your great work. check
