Design a boat that floats

Design a boat to float. As we all know, the Titanic did not stay afloat once its watertight compartments had filled with water. Have a go at trying to make a boat that floats. Consider if the Titanic were to be built again, what materials would work best? Plan: - sketch and label your design ideas - what materials would you use? Label your sketch with the materials you will need. Design: - build your first boat - test your design to see if it floats - make improvements if required. Play: - try adding one penny at a time your boat. - can you think of a way to improve your design so that it might hold more weight?Design a boat to float.
