Student Instructions

šŸŽÆ I can compose 8 different shapes using only square tiles. šŸŽÆ I can count the square tiles in a shape to determine the area of the shape. šŸŽÆ I can count around the outside of the shape to determine the perimeter. Then, use the add button to get started. āÆ Start by watching the video instructions on page 1. šŸŸ„ Copy or duplicate the square tile on page 2 to create different shaped rooms for your house. Use the label tool to name your rooms. Be creative & have fun! On the next page you will calculate the area and perimeter of each room. On the last page you will figure out what fraction of your house each room takes up. Use the check button to turn in your work once you have finished.
