Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

*To introduce the lesson, revise the names of different materials and their properties (we have previously completed a few lessons on these concepts) *Share known objects eg: a pair of scissors ✂️, metal tweezers and a small waterproof bag/pouch, small hammer. Share ways in which each is used. *Students decide which materials have been used in their construction, using the word wall. Discuss the properties v’s their intended use. Eg: Would glass be suitable to make the hammer? Would you use metal for a soccer ⚽️. Why have the tweezers been constructed from metal? * Work with students to create a summarising statement about materials and their uses. * work on their SeeSaw activity.
