Long vowels are vowels (a, e, i, o ,u) that say their own name, because they end with a final silent e that helps it wake up and remind us that the vowel is a long vowel sound. Let's practice saying the sounds and writing some words with long vowel sounds. You may use the following tools to write: pencil A pencil to write. pen A pen would also be cool to use too. mic You may also record your voice maybe reading the words to me as you write them yourself. video Or you may also video tape yourself as you write them on a board or in a notebook (your family can help do this I have also added a video link to help you study some vowel and consonant phonemes (sounds).
