Book Clubs - Word Whale Role
Your role for our book clubs is the Word Whale.
1. To begin, click the 
button.
2. Begin by the Bitmoji and says, "What Are We Doing Today?"
3. Then follow steps 1 and 2. Next, you may begin reading your book or poem.
4. You will be looking for words that describe your five senses. Those senses are taste, touch, see, smell and feel.
5. When you spot one of those words, make sure to write it down in one of the columns in the Word Whale. You may use the

, or 
tool. Don't forget to circle the sense with a 
and write down the page number.
5. You may find as many words as you would like.
Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
You may use this role as you see fit. If students are reading chapter books, for their first time I would have them continue with the Word Whale role. As they gain confidence, you can have them change roles.
