"Picture Perfect" Left Hand Position

Grades: 5th Grade, 4th Grade, 3rd Grade
Subjects: Music

Student Instructions

Now that we all know how important our Left Hand position is when we're playing our instruments, it's a good idea to have a "picture perfect" example for you to model in your practice. The perfect model for this activity is...well... YOU!! 1) Bring iPads to your next lesson, week of 10/29-11/2. 2) Together, we'll take a photo photo of your best LEFT HAND playing position. (Mrs. Heath and/or a classmate will assist you!!) 3) Add add your photo to this activity to share your "picture perfect" position with your fellow orchestra members, and for you to refer back to throughout your own practice in the weeks ahead. 4) You may like like or provide positive comments comment to your classmates on your own time at home. (I've provided my own example of what a violin/viola left hand position should look like.) Have fun!!
