FAMILY HALF TERM PROJECT - MAKE YOUR OWN VERSION OF STONEHENGE!

Grades: 2nd Grade
Subjects: History

Student Instructions

Well... it's here! The little family art projects that I know we all love deep down that involve paint, glue, and recyclable materials that with a little bit of imagination, creativity and teamwork, become amazing works of art to treasure! Linking in with our STONE AGE history topic, this activity is to create a model of Stonehenge. Our learning from this week will help with your creation! Many recyclable materials can be used in this project as once objects are painted, they can look like whatever you want them to! You could even use jenga blocks or biscuits! There a photographs in the instructions that you can look at for inspiration. If you have a printer (if not don't worry, it's just there as an alternative), you could print off the slides 6 and 7 and then follow the instructions to assemble a paper version! This is a project to last a period of time to allow you to find items and allow for different stages to dry. Information, pictures and links are attached to support you with this project. Please take lots of photographs along the way and upload to this activity so we can see the amazing transformation! DEADLINE FOR FINAL MODELS - WEDNESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY Please attach your amazing photographs to the template.
