This week we will work on practicing various skills: attributes of prisms, area, perimeter, volume ( ONLY 5th grade) and being creative ! 1.Name the prism: How many vertices: How many edges: How many sides/faces: 2. Measure all your edges ( we call them edges when they are found in a prisms). 3. Find the perimeter, area ( and volume ONLY 5th grade) using the BLUE Reference paper. I have attached a copy. Write your measurements, formula, steps and operations to obtain the perimeter and area ( volume for 5th grade) for each face. 3rd grade use centimeters 4th grade two faces will be using centimeters, two faces will use inches, one base in centimeters and second base in inches. 5th grade two faces will be using centimeters, two faces will use inches, one base in centimeters and second base in inches. Volume, use centimeters. 4.Take a picture of your box with the operations and answers. ( Leave in draft) 5. Check answers with teacher so you can decorate your box to use for next Monday. 6. Take a picture of your final product and ready to be in use for Valentine's day. 7.Submit !
