Math, 10 Pennies in the Kitchen #2

Grades: Kindergarten
Subjects: Home Learning, Math

Student Instructions

Step 1: Using the pennies you collected and washed, make a straight line of ten so that they touch (like we practiced when we measured with jumbo sticks). Step 2: Explore your KITCHEN for objects that are longer than a row of 10 pennies. Find at least five different objects longer than 10 pennies then choose three to be in your picture. Step 3: Arrange your three objects with their own row of pennies for a picture (see my example). If you don’t have enough pennies for each object, don’t worry, just use all the pennies you do have. Step 4: Click add. Step 5: Click photo and take a close picture of your objects, make sure it fills the screen and you can see all of the objects and their pennies. Step 6: Click pen to label your objects with their name and how many pennies long they are. Step 7: Click rec and talk about how your objects are longer, shorter, or the same. Step 8: Click pause to stop the recording. Step 9: Click check and listen to your words. Step 10: Click check again to send it to your teacher.
