L.I We are learning to understand what area is and how we can measure it.
S.C: I know what area means. I know what estimate means. I can estimate and measure the area of a familiar space with an informal unit of measurement.
1. Watch the 
linked called 'Introduction to Area'.
2. Listen to the definition of 'estimate' on the 2nd page.
3. Read the instructions on the 1st page of the student template or listen to them being read aloud.
4. Follow the instructions to estimate and measure your coffee table at home.
5. Fill in your responses into the table on the 2nd page of the student template. You might like to take a 
of what you measured and what you used to measure.
6. If you would like to, try to answer the questions in the hot challenge on the 3rd page.
