Student Instructions

Today, you will find at least 4 different objects around your house or in school to calculate the area and perimeter of. 1. Find an object. Ideally, this object should be square, rectangular or has equal sides. 2. Measure your object carefully and as accurately as you can using a ruler or tape measure. 3. Upload your photo onto Seesaw. 4. Calculate the perimeter -Don't forget your units of measurement! 5. Calculate the area -Don't forget your units of measurement! 6. Show all your workings clearly. 7. Double check your calculations before you post. Top tip: When you measure your object, you can round it to the nearest whole number if you wish to make your calculations easier for you. For example, a book measures 19.8cm, I will round it up to 20cm.
