Student Instructions

I can solve joining problems with missing addends. 1. Tap the add button. 2. Click the link to watch the video on the first page. 3. Click the link by the hexagon to go to the next page. 4. On each page, use the pencil, drawing, and/or label tools to find the missing addend. You must show your work on the ten frame(s). 5. Write the missing addend on the red line using the pencil or the label tool to complete each equation. 6. Click the link by the hexagon to go to the next page. Keep going until you get to the last page. 7. On the last page, click the link to watch the Brain Break Video. You worked hard, so get up and DANCE! 8. Tap the green check to turn in your work.

Inspired by a lesson by Audrey Leppke in the Community Library. This activity includes equations with 4 + __ = 6, __ + 4 = 6, and 6 = 4 + ___, 6 = ___ + 4. Samples of each are on the page 1 video. There is a brain break video on the last slide, too.
