Student Instructions

Today’s activity is a very creative activity where you will get to explore building musical instruments and then put on your very own performance. Start by watching the attached video, ‘4 easy to make musical instruments’. You don’t have to make one of theses four, they are only there for ideas. You may already have something much more creative in mind. Remember you may need a little help from an adult or older sibling when making your instruments, especially if you need to use sharp scissors. Maybe you could make more than one instrument and share them out with your family to create a family band. Once you have all got your instruments it is time to practice for your performance. My favourite junk modelling instrument is ‘If you’re happy and you know it’. Try using these verses while experimenting with the sounds your instruments make. 🎶If your happy and you know it play it loudly...🎶 🎶If your happy and you know it play it quietly...🎶 🎶If your happy and you know it play it fast...🎶 🎶If your happy and you know it play it slow...🎶 Once you are happy with your instrument and song it is time to record your performance. add Remember to tap the add button to begin. Start by using the photo camera button to take a picture of you and your instruments, and maybe even your whole band if you’ve managed to convince to family to take part. Next tap the mic microphone button to record you singing and playing your instrument. If you’d rather not sing then why don’t you record yourself telling us about how you made your instrument. check Don’t forget to press the green tick mark when you have finished so we can see and hear your fantastic instruments. check
