Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

I have chosen to use fuerte for the Spanish word for loud. My students seem to be more familiar with this word and it's usage. However, sometimes alta is used for a loud voice. Depending on what word you choose to use for high voice, you can use alta or fuertes. Just like in English the word alta can be used for high pitch or high volume. This lesson is for the practice of loud singing voice and soft singing voice. If you are using the Houlahan and Tacka handbooks Kodály in the kindergarten classroom, this would fall in either lesson 1, 2 or 3 of the unit on Beat.
