Area Dice Game - Capture the Squarea A game to practise perimeter, area, arrays & multiplication. 👌 Students can play in pairs or in groups of 3. Each player chooses a colour pencil or texta they will use in the game. Collect the squared paper from your teacher. Players take turns rolling the two dice, using the numbers that they rolled to draw the perimeter of a rectangle or square & writing the area in the middle of the shape. E.g. Roll a 2 & a 3 ➡️ Draw a 2 x 3 rectangle Game ends when players run out of room to draw. Winner is the player who has used the largest area, i.e. has “captured” the most squares. Assessment: Take a photo of your squared paper at the end of your game. Post it under your name. Who was the winner?
