You will need your dice and whiteboard for this activity. 1. Roll the dice twice. 2. The first roll tells you how many pizzas to draw. 3. The second roll tells you how many pepperonis to put on EACH pizza. Write: -A multiplication sentence that shows the total number of pepperonis ("total amount"). -A division sentence that shows the number of pepperonis on each pizza ("size of each group"). For example, I roll a dice and get 4 so I draw 4 big pizzas. I roll again and I get 3 so I put three pepperonis on each pizza. -I write: 4 x 3 = 12 and that tells me that there are 12 pepperonis in all. -I write: 12 / 4 = 3 and that tells me that there are 3 pepperonis on each pizza.
