[SPEAKING] This is what you see, but if you really knew me...

The teacher projects the following picture on the board as a prompt for a discussion on hiding or showing one’s feelings. We use the iceberg metaphor to express that very often what we see in someone else is not what that person fully is, there is usually more to it than what we can see with our own eyes. In turns, the students volunteer to finish the title sentence.
