Use the Pattern Shapes app to fill a pattern with regular 2d shapes. Record what fraction of the pattern is made of each type of shape. 1. This is an example of what I am looking for. You must upload a screenshot of your own shape-filled pattern and record the fractions using Seesaw’s creative tools.
If you do not have access to the Pattern Shape app, you may use concrete 2d shapes to create a pattern. An extension activity could be that students create their own pattern, rather than selecting a pre-made one from the app, and then record its fractions or swap with a partner to figure out.
